Guest Singularitypoint Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Hi. I got my vega on tuesday and put the mod on it that night. 1.09? Works like a dream and am prefering this to my win 7 netbook. I sorted flash no probs and so on. I don't know what clockworkmod is at all and am unsure of adb.. problem i have is with the gallery. I've put some photos, music and a film on the SD card in the relevant vegamedia folders but in gallery and my mediia apps (which look the same) it says nothing found, and nothing shows in the music app....
Guest thedicemaster Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 try running this: am broadcast -a android.intent.action.MEDIA_MOUNTED --ez read-only false -d file:///mnt/sdcard in gscript or terminal emulator. this should trigger android to check the sdcard for media. rebooting should have the same result. you may need root for this, if so you also need to use the "su" command once first. also, make sure you don't have any .nomedia files on your sdcard (any folder with such a file will be ignored, including subfolders)

Didn't quite follow the code bit cos not used that kind of thing before. A reboot did the trick. It is a standard thing that if you add media you need to reboot before you see it? Or is it cos I added from a usb stick?

Not sure if this is still the case now that I'm on r8 as I use quickpic for pics and ES file explorer now for vids but it certainly was like that.
