Guest ramfan007 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Ive bought a dock for my vega with the express intent of being able to simply and easilly connect it to my TV & Surround Sound etc for streaming movies from love film, bbci player etc Ive been looking for some kind of remote to control it whilst doing so, but all I can seem to find is apps that let you use the vega as a remote control Has anyone got any suggestions Thanks
Guest 2old2mould Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 +1, this would be really useful for me also. I know some people have gotten the Wii remote to work (is there any reason why the PS3 controller wouldn#t also work?).
Guest ramfan007 Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 This might do the trick :( That looks nice, but its a bit expensive. Not sure Ill get that past the boss having just laid out for the vega and accessories. Wonder if there's any thing else like that on the market, time for some research. thanks for reply and link, ive got something to go on now and ill post back about anything else I find

Guest mxbob Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 isnt there a vnc server for android? might not be the perfect solution but would work to remotely control the vega
Guest warriorscot Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I haven't been able to get any of the vnc apps to act as a server on the vega yet but can't say I have tried too much yet as I tend to use the vega as a remote for my PC(check out Unified remote and teamviewer if you are interested in that) but have you tried a wii or 360 controller wiimotes can usually have the keys mapped to whatever you want depending on the software you use they might be useful to you.

Guest warriorscot Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Screencast looks good, early software but thats how a lot of good apps start. pocketcloud looks okay but teamviewer is definitely better its all platforms and very popular worth using. But RDP I found isn't always the easiest if I am in the room with my PC and just need a remote apps like unified remote or gmote work better very handy for watching TV and things. Unified remote is good because its not just mouse and keyboard but file manager, start menu, winamp, browser, XBMC remote all in one app it is very handy.
Guest owenoliver1 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 on ebay you can get a bluetooth keyboard for about £12 would do the trick i think if not https://market.android.com/details?id=com.v...e=search_result use another browser
