PS3 Remote Play for Android

For those people out there who own a PS3 in your collection of gadgetry you are probably aware of a feature called 'Remote Play' which enables a PSP device to connect to the PS3 over wi-fi and access files, stream content and with the addition of a PlayTV accessory to use the PS3 as a PVR device to record and stream video to the PSP.

Now wouldn't it be nice if you could replace the PSP with a Vega? Well apparently according to this article we could expect to see this delivered with a new app on the market soon. I for one am salivating at the chance to use the Vega in conjunction with the PS3 for video streaming locally initially but maybe via 3G longer term. It will also hopefully allow me to ditch my Slingplayer and Sky boxes ultimately. :(
