[Question] Acer liquid & Metal

I'm pretty sure some folks, mainly developer, upgrade the Liquid to metal, so I though I ask the question here.

The upgrade between the 2 spec is small, but regarless, how does it feel in comparison, I own a Liquid, tho its a bit laggy and often time..out of memory for text msg, and video a little lag, etc....

In other word, do the metal run smoother with the increase of ram, gpu, and 800mhz?

Does it lag with say 8-15 market apps install, and say 5 large widget?

Do video run smooth and better quality with 16m color?

Secondly, can i use the tools listed on this threat to root/upgrade?

like putting LCR-f, or any other rom, using the same step, and same link, as i did with the liquid?

There don't seem to be a thread main thread for liquid metal...

Thanks for all response :(

Also if you ask, "If you're so worry about the little improvement,etc...why not get a better phone"

Answer: either PRICE or phone design alway get in the way.... :(

Don't try liquid roms on metal. It's impossible to install one to another..

Main Reason why it's prohibited is processor(same as in DHD one).

I don't think that it's upgrade trully get you some performance boost, to get this, try something with HTC on board or SGS 2 at least.

Root is possible (amonra)

Alternate ROMs exists but only 2 or 3 - DON'T USE LIQUID ROMs

All details are on the link given previously.

I mut say I just order a Metal/brown to replace my Liquid. Why?

* because of look to liquid A1: bad plastic cover and metal is more classy

* metal isn't very much more powerfull but I already tried a metal without any upgrade / rom : looks definitively more fluid, even with ACER IU

* doesn't whan't to go to SGS (too many people had one) or HTC (price).

But one thing is very interesting for non metal Liquid : the community!!! Many devs, many ROMs, many tweaks...

I'd love if LCR could be ported to Metal ;-)

The gap between both is the processor and also the touch screen

Metal is indeed more optimised and improved.
