Guest gitf@ce Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 So Mother In Law wants to take a drive somewhere 'unknown' this morning and is worried she can't read the map very well (blind as a bat in my opinion)... no problem I say, I've got probably the biggest gps navigation unit around... just right for you! I set everything up in her car with my dash mount, switch on my £5 ebay gps receiver, bluetooth gps provider on... all looks good! Start Copilot and I'm greeted with nothing... no gps data being recieved! After fiddling for half an hour I give up (much to my embarrassment), and install my dinky sized TomTom in the hope that if she can't see it at least she will hear it. I was using r6 before and everything was great, I updated to r8 a while back and can only assume this is the problem? I am being prompted to set gps locations which is greyed out... I don't remember seeing that before. Can anyone confirm this is/is not an r8 issue? or maybe the kernel has changed it? Is anyone aware of a fix? Or... if I have to re-flash any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Guest gitf@ce Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) Many thanks Trevor! It's people like you who make this site special... Haven't heard a peep from MIL, just hope I don't have to saddle the horses right in the middle of dinner! Edited March 6, 2011 by gitf@ce
