Guest ezablade Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Had a bit of a search, couldn't find anything... I am trying to delete some files from my SD card, to free up a little space and just generally clear out old stuff. In particular the last rom zip file I flashed and some old CM backups that I've copied over to my PC (leaving the latest one still on the card, obviously). So I tried deleting them from Windows Explorer. Pressed delete, confirmed, file vanished. As you'd expect. Ejected the drive, stopped USB storage on the phone, opened Filer / ES Explorer and the files were back. Plugged usb cable back in, tried again, same thing. Files I'd deleted were still there and a file I'd copied over had vanished. Tried deleting using both Filer and ES Explorer, confirmation messages appeared saying they'd been deleted, closing and then re-opening the file explorers showed the files had gone. Reconnected to the PC and they were back! The card isn't read only, at least, I was able to do a Nandroid and it created the backup without a problem. I haven't tried removing the SD card to delete the files yet. Any ideas?
Guest chlyug Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Try rebooting the phone. if that dont work try to boot it into recovery and mount the card and see if it works with that kernel.
