AAC streaming

Hello :(

I'm using de-oranged r8 and I'm pretty chuffed with it but being an inquisitive person I want to try some of the newer roms that the devs have put so much work into. The one thing thats holding me back is not being able to listen to my favorite online radio station that streams AAC.

Does anyone know of a rom that supports this ?

A quick search on the market for aac radio,or similar, may help. I doubt and ROMS support aac natively, as no android device does. Why? - because its a horrible apple codec :(

xiialive is the best player I have found and plays AAC on 2.1 with no problems .... I've tried it on the Advent Vega tablet (2.2) and it wont stream :(

can anyone test it on a 2.2 rom for me before I take the plunge ? pls

Does TuneIn Radio serve your purpose?

I do use that player but Its not configurable for me to add the url I want to listen to :(

XiiaLive does not stream AAC on 2.2 or 2.3, don't exactly know why. You can try to delete libOmxAacDec.so from /system/lib , maybe it will work, did not try as I stream mp3 ATM, will try it in the future.
