Random lockups then unable to reboot

Hey new here, been reading for the last few days on this forum and a lot of others, but can't really find anything similar to this problem. Acer Liquid E on Rogers (Canada), phone manufacture date Dec 2010, upgraded with the OEM 2.2 Upgrade immediately upon purchase. Woke up the other morning, phone was on the charger but it wasn't on. Tried to turn it on, phone vibrated, Acer text came up, then the backlighting turned off, acer text was still visible under a bright light though, left the phone for a few hours, nadda.

After several cycles of removing the battery and turning on the phone, it would occasionally turn on. Sometimes it'd turn on and work for a few hours, sometimes it'd freeze as soon as it got to the home screen, sometimes it'd freeze with verticle green stripes all down the screen.

Doing a partition checksum seems to come up with a different result every time. Sometimes passes, sometimes fails. I reflashed the phone with a few different OEM bins using the ADT 3.1, tried a few things with Malez, and finally got the phone working for nearly 12 hours straight with 4.008.08, but then around 10am this morning, randomly died on me again and wouldn't start back up for hours. I'm fairly new to the Android thing, although I do have a decent background with computers. This whole thing stinks of bad flash memory in the phone to me, but I don't want to try and get it repaired under warranty because I've had a SLEW of faulty 'refurbished' Liquid Es after my first phone died on me in October (mic stopped working). It took me weeks to convince rogers to give me a brand new phone at the beginning of this year. Ugh. Plus I've probably voided my warranty with all the flashing nonsense, as it doesn't appear there is a bin availible for the original rogers rom.

Anyone have any thoughts? I'm pretty much out of ideas.

Died again this afternoon, got it to come back about half an hour later, then died again early in the evening and 3 hours later and I haven't been able to get it to boot back up. Won't even do a checksum most of the time, but it seems to have no problem getting into clean boot or fastboot, although fastboot doesn't seem to actually be communicating with my PC. Are there any diagnostics I can try?

I actually had a similar issue for my first Liquid. Rogers had to replace as I couldn't even get custom roms to work or flash. My suggestion is to flash OEM 2.2 and get it swapped.

Are these phones inherently problematic?

First one I had mic cut out, second one froze solid if you tried to turn on Wi-Fi, third one had massive touchscreen problems where it would just randomly start clicking all over the screen, now this one with its messed up internal memory (presumably)... argh.

Any idea where I can find a Rogers bin to reflash it? I haven't been able to find one anywhere and the OEM update.zip won't work.

I don't think they are any more problematic then any other phone. I'm not sure about the origonal BIN. It might be in the ACER rom / bin master list thread.

Apparently :(

So does anyone have access to the original Bin so I can reflash it to factory?

No its not on that page or availible from Acer, only the update.zip which won't work. :(

Hitting it seems to make it work. Hmm.

Is there any way to bypass a Status 7 error when using the flashcard based update.zip?
