remap/ repurpose hardware buttons?

Does anyone know if its possible to remap the hardware buttons? I use spareparts to use the power button as a home button but would love to use the volume controls as menu/back buttons and then use the back key as home so power button could be used as normal?

Dolphin HD Browser allows some re-configuration of hard buttons e.g. Volume Up/Down can become Scroll Up/Down so I daresay they are other apps on the market for doing what you are after if you do a search on the Market otherwise I'm sure other people will chip in with their suggestions :(

Not sure if you've seen the button saviour app, saves a lot of wear and tear on hardware buttons and may meet your needs. I only use hardware buttons for turning on and fully shutting down....

Thanks for the suggestion, however, I'm trying to avoid using the on screen buttons. I use ADW launcher with status bar off, dolphin in full screen and some games that remove status bar also! If i can use the repurpose the volume keys i'll be a happy chap!
