Guest dagrim1 Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 http://www.fudzilla.com/notebooks/item/220...o-get-honeycomb Not quite sure how to interpret it, a new model or the existing tablets. In case of a new model it can hopefully be ported or flashed to the current mobii devices... Hopefully more (good) news soon! ps. POV Mobii is an exact clone of the vega so relevant for vega as well :(

Guest rvdgeer Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 can you post the full text as the link you posted is dead... April time Point of View CEO Bjorn Soli has told us that you can expect to see Honeycomb, Android 3.0 for Mobii tablets by April. The company is working on it, and it will happen rather soon. The chap also confirmed that the sales have been great for them and that in most parts of Europe demand is outstripping supply. At Cebit the company also showed a 7 inch tablet based on some random ARM chip and promised a Tegra 2 version of the device soon. The plan is to transition to Android 3.0 in all new devices as this is the current trend. The current version ships with Android 2.2, something that you have seen with Samsung Galaxy Tab but a lot of early adopters would love to see Android 3.0 the sooner, the better. At least we can confirm its coming relatively soon.
Guest Lennyuk Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Sounds to me like they mean all recent devices not "all new devices" by what he has said. Guess we will have to wait and see, its not the first vega clone to have 3.0 confirmed if its true.
Guest Sanddancer75 Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Hasn't April been mentioned before by someone? It has to mean the existing tablets, he says 'also' when he goes on to talk about the new stuff. April is only a little over 3 weeks away :(. EDIT - Here it was: http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...-and-1-08-info/ Edited March 9, 2011 by Sanddancer75
Guest john hunter Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 This is just a thinking out loud type question. Now that more tablet manufacturers are promising Honeycomb when are Google going to release the feckin AOSP? Just a thought, JH
Guest Willy130683 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 And another hint that it will come in April: link
