Guest LavX Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Hi! I have a big problem with a phone, because the performance is dropped. Some months ago I created a video, where I compare the standard and JIT enabled mode(Linpack). In the standard mode, with overclocked CPU(691): 2.9 MFLOPS and in the JIT enabled mode: 4.6 MFLOPS Now I tried an another 2.1 ROM, with enabled JiT, but i got only 3 MFLOPS. This was surprised me. Maybe bad rom? I tried older rom, what I have used in the video, but I got same result so I tried 2.2 droid(CyanogenMod Plus). So the JIT is enabled and I set the max MHz in the SetCPU, but the MFLOPS still around 3. Maybe something wrong with the app? The answer is no, because I get lower point in Quadrant(around 270-340). I don't know what happened. I always fully wipe my phone before I install new rom. What is the matter?
Guest Daz555 Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 The thing with JIT, was that although it was great in benchmarks, I never actually observed any increase in performance at all when actually using the phone. I got some crashes so stopped using it in the end.
Guest D-D- Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I get 4.78 on linpack with jit, oc and android 2.1. Anyhow, JIT is best when using the browser and there is much increase in performance in the default browser. Why do you think that pages open up faster with 2.2 than with 2.1 (the first comercial for the 2.2).
Guest peelie Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 not much diff in performance with jit plus without jit you get longer lasting battery :(
Guest LavX Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 So any idea to work again JIT? Maybe try the official T-mo update? It will works? I don't want unnecessary reflash.

I don't know what you encountered, my still gives 4.796 (CMplus+OC=710). If you have custom rom (CMmutant:)), try some options in the Performance Settings..
Guest sun lbx Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 whooh I made my CMutant myself at 710mhz it makes 5.1MFLOPS or even more)) I could have suggested it for the people right here, but it would be recovery backup, not flashable zip And it sucks But still don't insult mutants))))))
