Guest newbe5 Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 For those of you who might not be checking in the competition subforums, I thought I would repost this here :( Original post is here! Please let me know any requests, or if something isn't working. Currently not tested with the "Big Notification Bar" so possibly might need the wallpapers tweaking to suit that, but I will sort that soon. Might be a little odd-ball, so I don't expect it will be for everyone, but the whole thing is an original (I think!) idea, and all images have been created in Photoshop (and the PST files are available in the original post). Let me know what you think! newbe5
Guest simonta Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 It's not to my taste but fabulous work. Looks really cool and great originality.

The frames are part of the object image/icon. If you have photoshop or gimp you can put whatever you want in a frame :D Thanks for the kind comment! Edited March 13, 2011 by newbe5

Guest newbe5 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Here's something I forgot to mention originally that might interest some people. I specifically designed the wallpaper/shelf on VintageVega to match up with standard Icon sets, such as iDroid so you can actually have those icons sat on the shelf if you wish, and it doesn't look bad to boot :D Example: So if you find that there are objects missing from the pack that you would like, you can always use an icon instead :( Add icons in the same way as normal with DTV.

Guest simonta Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Very nice .... now know that radio on screen looked familiar this is mine in the garage :D [Off Topic] Ah Trevor, get that oil lantern swinging. You brought back some warm fuzzy memories for me. One of being dragged into my grandmothers living room each Sunday night to listen to "Sing something simple" and the other of switching to short wave and tuning in to all those weird and wonderful transmissions like the shipping forecast and the RAFs long range "Architect" flight watch service. What do we get today? Radio One and Heart. Hmmmpphhhhhhh. [/Off Topic]
Guest newbe5 Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Umm, random update :D A completely random Twitter Search resulted in me finding this page with a big shoutout for VintageVega! Also, this twitter search show's it had been re-tweeted a whole bunch of times without me even knowing :/ Ah well, nice to see that it's getting out there! newbe5 / Zebwen
