Guest Damski Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 OK, this may be a bit specific but I hope someone can help. Is there a browser I can use (tried stock and DolphinHD) that will work 'properly'. I'll give an example, Google doc's. Open a doc, use the option on the right to send it as an email attachment and a new layer to the page comes up, but I can't for the life of me click on the page, it clicks through the page to the page below... same on Facebook, the friends chat thingy, it shows up but isn't usable as you can't click on it, the clicks pass straight through. Please help me find the right browser to get my wife off my back Damski
Guest simonta Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Somewhere in the browser settings is an option for "User Agent". Set it to desktop and try again. Cheers
Guest Damski Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I've tried it in desktop mode, ipad mode, standard , still no joy. Any ideas?
Guest norm79 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I've had similar problems. I use joomla to maintain a website and some of the modules within that involve entering data in forms or on popup layers which won't work with the vega stock browser or dolphin. I did try the firefox app and that was so damn complicated i gave up. Has anyone extracted the browser from honeycomb yet? Maybe that has a more "desktop" like user experience...? Jamie
Guest simonta Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Not suggesting this as a fix, but have you tried Opera?

Guest warriorscot Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Dolphin HD is great but I have been having problems with it for various reasons. The interface is great but the back end is pants. Opera is good but its optimised for mobile phones not a tablet when the tablet version comes out its what I am going to use. The norton browser is good but crashes sometimes. I am trying out miren and have no complaints so far as it seems to be stable and works better than dolphin.

Dolphin HD has Xmarks but I don't think any of the others have this?
