Guest dan82 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Dropped my phone in water and dryed out, phone switchs on but touchscreen not responding
Guest sambartle Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Yeah that's probably a side effect of dropping it in water! How long did you let it dry for? It's best to put it in a warm (not hot) place for a good few days.. water can seep into many places. The touchscreen's are usually on a little ribbon cable clipped into a clip.. if there's water in that it could take a while to dry out fully. It'd be best to leave the power and battery off it.. and let it dry a while longer. I'm not sure if anyone has done a guide for taking the SF apart yet to check.. but if you do decide to open it be careful of all the black matt stickers as they probably have very fragile aerial traces on the back of them.. try and take it apart without removing those, or you are sure to have problems.
Guest That-Guy Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 They say leaving the phone in a bag of rice also works well (rice attracts moisture)
