Guest zenchan Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Seemingly literally overnight my pulse has no sound output through either the speaker or the actual earpiece (though if I put headphones in sound comes through them fine). The fact that it is both the speaker and earpiece makes me think it may be a software problem rather than hardware but I have tried both a nandroid restore and reinstalling a rom (FLB1.7) to no avail. Anyone any experience of this happening?

Anyone any experience of this happening? Yeah same happened to me, overnight aswell! In frustration i ended up hitting it on the table and it started working again! Now if i drop it or hit it against anything it will stop working, but just have to hit it again and it will work! Think there must be something loose inside with mine, and as you say it might be software in your case and not hardware, but just weird that in my case it happened overnight when i had obviously not being using it just the same as you!! So yeah probablly wont solve it, but is worth a shot :(
Guest droidMM Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 :( Same thing here 2 days ago I was drunk and i dropped my pulse on the floor, now i have no sound on speaker set it to vibrate always. The sound on headset is ok only the speaker is dead. :(
Guest Pulseuser1 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 This has happened to me before wit another phone i had, i think its a problem with the headphone jack not properly disconnecting from the headphones, so it will appear to the phone like the headphones are still connectd even if theyre not. Which is why when u plug it back in you will still get sound and when u take it out u wont.
