Guest Poodha Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 (edited) Haven't thoght about it before, but changed ROM today and had to reinstall all my apps(mybackup root) and them move them to the SD-card. But what happened to the previous stored appfiles on the SD-card? Do they get wiped when you install a new ROM? Or do I have to manually wipe them? Same thing if I uninstall an app, and don't have it on the phone memory when I do it. Will it leave remains as well? Odd thing was that after flashing a new ROM(FLB) and after reinstalling my apps with mybackup, and moving the apps to the SD, every time I pressed move to sd, it said fail. But if I pressed again, it worked. Like something was in the way the first time. Edited March 11, 2011 by Poodha
Guest That-Guy Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Depends on the App as to what they store on the SD Card.
Guest Poodha Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I'm talking about when you move an app to the SDcard with APP2SD. Shouldn't all of them be on the same place then since it's Android who moves the apps and not the apps that chose a place themselves? I mean, everytime I flash a new ROM and reinstall my apps(through mybackup) and move them again to the SD-card, do they overwrite their old place or am I just taking more and more space on the SD-card?
Guest wbaw Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 they get stored in the .android_secure directory. if you wipe data before installing a rom then they will get wiped too.
