Please help me with advent vega adb interface

Please please help!!! I have been trying to do this for days I have read all the posts over and over again but still can't figure this out.

I have intalled the r8 on pc, usb drivers, android debug bridge interface. I have finally been able to install android composite adb interface but this is now where i have a problem. On the android composite adb interface i have an icon next to it which is a screen but I have an exclamation mark over it when you double click on it the message in device status says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I have tried to update driver but this tells me software up to date

I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall!!! I have got debugging on device.

I have already posted this with the title "Advent vega adb interface" and had a response I have followed the instructions given but am still having no luck see below I titled it wrong hence why I'm reposting with new title:

That little screen I talked about previously still has exclamation mark on it and when you look at it the same message appears saying that it cannot work (Code 10).

I did the install-windows.bat command it whizzed up and then was gone but vega has not rebooted. I have looked in device settings can't tell if anything looks different in kernel version. I only got this on monday so wouldn't it have the latest version of kernel anyway?

All I want to be able to do is get Android market, so I can download an app so I put ripped dvd's to my vega for my little girl to watch movies when on an aeroplane, are there any help lines I can call coz I'm losing the will to live smile.gif

If your still stuck, give up on the adb.... Go to xda developers forums, go to vega android development and in the thread titled clean rom add on performance, theres a file you download, put it on the vegas memory card, run it and it takes care of the market install plus a few extras. If you do get sdb working, download vega tools from this modaco forum... it really simplifies the process.

I think I read this post the other day and couldn't remember how to get back to it. I have hundreds of apps yay!!!!

Sorry to post in an old thread, but I had the same problem with getting ADP working. I had just bought the vega yesterday from currys, and was trying to install Corvus5. I was able to root it easily. But then got stuck at installing the adp part. Tried all sorts of combination for 4 hours, including the methods listed in "http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-vega-vega-modaco-com/327084/what-to-do-when-your-usb-drivers-are-wrong-win7-64/#entry1527188"

Finally realised that the drivers were not loading because of a clash with my HTC Hero android drivers installed on my laptop. Uninstalled all of that using the same USB viewer program that arad85 had mentioned (USBDeview). And then, bang. Back in business !

Finally finished installing Corvus5 and all that by 01:30 AM today morning :-)

I got a htc hero but ive never had any problems at all with a clash but its nice to know in case i ever do run into the problem :unsure:
