Guest mickey megabyte Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 i've had a quick search and couldn't find anything... ...anyway - is there any difference in recharging times depending whether the phone's plugged into the mains or into a usb slot? i suspect not, but has anybody already done the experiment? if not, i'm up for it - i'm just lazy and didn't want to reduplicate inventing the wheel. :(

Tried and tested :(
Guest mickey megabyte Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 thanks - saves me some time experimenting :( gives me more time to tweak and play!
Guest RossJ84 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 This is a subject that's made me do a lot of thinking, but still can't work it out fully! See my post from a while ago: Battery life observations In short, USB charging takes much longer but also lasts much longer, can sometimes get more than 3 days out of a charge, mains charging can run out in under 24 hours. Guest Oyorf Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 USB charging takes lot more time than mains chargin, but also battery will last much longer if charged from USB. So if you have time to charge I suggest to use usb.

Guest Sborovm Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I have two Nokia chargers from my previous phones and I need to use them, because I couldn use UK charger here in Czech Republic (not compatible socket). The first charger has 300mA charging current and the second is 500mA. I bought 2mm Nokia plug to microUSB reduction. When I charge with lower current, my Blade lasts for 6 days when I am not using it much. And with 500mA charger it is going down much faster. :(
Guest mickey megabyte Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 interesting stuff indeed. glad i posted. "The flame that burns Twice as bright burns half as long." Laozi (Tao Te Ching)
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 i think the output of a usb port is around 400 ma the output of main charger is 700 ma
