Well I have an OLED Orange San Francisco and I might be buying a white SF and I was wondering is it possible to Take the OLED screen out from the Black One and then installed it into the TFT One?

Thanks.

you could also just switch the covers of your two phones ..

Don't see the point to be honest considering the OLED one is hardly any better

Can't you just put the old phone on top of your new phone and sellotape them together?

Paul did it :( So it is definitely possible!

It is defiantly possible (And quite easy if you know what your doing)

But the last 2 users who took apart their blades couldn't get the touchscreens working on reassembly :(

So unless you know what your doing I wouldn't recommend it

I have a better idea: swap your OLED with my TFT :( Then you got two TFT ones -> No problem.

I'm sure it's possible to swap the screens, but I think it would be much easier to swap the case covers if want your OLED in a white case.

before you do anything Google "BLADE TEAR DOWN" and take a look at what the inside of a blade looks

like. the video is on YouTube

Yikes - looks super-fiddly, especially during reassembly.

During the transition phase between OLED and TFT models, lots of the ROMs here had two versions - one for each screen type. If this is indeed possible (and apparently has been done before) there's no problem with the stock Orange ROM running a TFT model's firmware on an OLED screen then? Or is this hack also dependant on the OP adding a custom ROM?
