There are some threads on this issue, if yo do a search you will get the detailed info you need. However as I understand it you need to put the Vega into usb host mode.

You need to have removed the micro SD card and close the file manager with a task killer. Wait a few seconds/minutes after inserting the USB stick thenload it back up. After that you can insert the micro SD card again. It works for me anyway.

I didnt have to do anything out of the ordinary to get this to work, just changed my usb most to host, plugged in the memory stick and off it went.

I did open ifilemanager before i inserted the usb stick, not sure if this makes any difference.

Which directory are you looking for the USB device in? It should be in /mnt/usb/system_usb/

This. If it's working when you plug it into your pc, your vega is in USB Slave mode. As long as you've installed the R8 Rom from here, go run the application 'USB Mode' and tell it to go into Host mode. It'll ask for superuser permissions (grant them), then reboot (this takes a while, unfortunatly)

After this point, you should be able to stick a usb stick in.

You'll need to do this again, but for slave mode, when you next want to plug it into your PC
