Guest Bonfire Boy Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) Hi All, Wondering if anyone can help, after my SF had been charging for an hour or so it started vibrating continually. Turned it off and it still vibrated, unplugged it and turned it back on and it still vibrated all the time. Took the battery out and it stopped, left it 30 seconds and as soon as I put the battery back in it started to vibrate again. Took the battery out again and left it for half an hour, but again as soon as I put it in again it started vibrating again. Started it up again and it shows the battery has 40% charge. All I've done with the SF so far is it unlock it and use my Vodafone SIM, I've not rooted the phone or installed any ROMs. Any ideas? Would a master reset help or will that just delete all the data on the SF? Thanks in advance... BB Edited March 16, 2011 by Bonfire Boy
Guest That-Guy Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Try factory reset, if not take back for exchange :D

Did you use it in an environment with high humidity? If that caused the problem, I'd put it into a bag of rice (without battery) for a night or two.
Guest Bonfire Boy Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 I don't live in a particuarily humid environment, just England in the winter time :D It is still doing it two days later everytime I put the battery back in, it certainly has the feel of a hardware fault. Any more suggestions out there?
Guest Bonfire Boy Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 As it appeared to be a hardware fault I phoned Orange Customer services yesterday where I spoke to two very helpful advisors, they ran a diagnostic and confirmed the fault and arranged to send a replacement SF which arrived today. I know people often have bad experiences of ringing Customer services, but these advisors where very helpful - credit where credit it due. BB
