Guest FrozenGRNET Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Hello, I am looking around the forums but really didn't find a rom for me or something that can help me.. I got a Dell Streak (mini5 ofc) Unlocked bought from Germany.. Few months ago, using the guides around this forum, i upgrade it from 1.6 to 2.1 Eclair.. How can i take it back to the factory's 1.6? Please help me.. :D
Guest phoenixdude24 Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 (edited) out of curiosity why do you want 1.6 back? Edited March 14, 2011 by phoenixdude24
Guest FrozenGRNET Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 out of curiosity why do you want 1.6 back? Because in order to upgrade to the official 2.2 from Dell, i need to be on 1.6 official, else it's not recognised the device itself from the upgrade.. Need a way to roll back to the official so that i can upgrade normally to 2.2 official from Dell :/
Guest wojtas29 Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 here you can find everythink what you need http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...ing-the-streak/
Guest mossywell Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 here you can find everythink what you need http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...ing-the-streak/ Just be careful with those instructions as they take you down a 21 (o2), not a 00 (oem) path. (For some reason, peaple called the O2 (21) version "stock", which it isn't.)

Guest mossywell Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Where can i find a 00 (oem) rom? Please help me.. I need to reverse what I have done.. :/ Might be a bit outdated now, but I took it back to 4399 (21). Then you can go back up to OEM Android 1.6 v6767 GAUSB1A111100-EU and back up again to 2.2 (00). There's a link around here explaining this tricky step. Now, where is it... ah - here: http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...-builds/#entry0 The lesson is that most streak users are o2 users and I guess they forget that an OEM version exists. Also, as I say: watch out for the word "stock" with reference to "ROM". That always spells danger!

Is there any chance someone can post again the files that are posted on that thread because the links are no longer available ? Thanks in advance, and thanks a dozen for your reply already.

Thanks in advance, and thanks a dozen for your reply already. It's only the 2nd and 3rd that aren't available and the 3rd is available here: http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...w/#entry1485288, so the only missing file is the recovery image recovery.stock.new.img. Might have it lying around somewhere - I have loads of them! EDIT: OK, googling for the file leads me here: http://www.mediafire.com/?80fusfr377sok54 Might be the right one. There you are - that's all of them. Edited March 19, 2011 by mossywell
