mission impossible to Upgrade from dell streak build 12821 to latest 14844

I Purchased white Dell Streak AT&T USA (Best Buy) with android 1.6.

I used QDL tool to upgrade to its build-in ROM ?

then found download link and updated from streak Browser to Froyo 2.2 build 12821, baseband xxxx1A131800-US, Kernel 2:6:32-9perf.

Every thing works OK and I have been using it for at least a month now.

Now the official Dell streak Android Froyo 2.2 build 14844 is out and I can not get it to update.

First I tried the Web link for update, It downloads the ROM and will not initiate the automatic installation

I have to press on the downloaded file to start installation

then it reboots into recovery I think that what it is called, and then gives me a yellow triangle error with some text.

then I reboot again and it stars normal but not upgraded.

I tried ROM manager but it need an update.zip file and I do not know where to get that.

I tried recovery mod after renaming the 14844.pkg file to update.pkg

I looked at many instructions on the WEB but nothing addresses this issue and of it did it is written for a rocket scientists which I am not.

Please help me with the right solution, simple detailed instructions or direct me to it so I can upgrade to the official dell streak 2.2 build 14841 from build 12821.

There is a thread just way below you post en titled Guide from any 2.2 to official at&t 2.2 if Ican remember it right. Just follow the instruction you'll be on 340 in no time.
