My ext2 partition does not show what I set it to

Hi,

I'm new but did a lot of reading on this forum and others.

I have the SF rooted and have the modaco custom rom r11 on it. Recently I got a 16gb sdcard and partitioned it to ext2=512mb using gparted live and usingclockwork 3.1.0.4-blade. In both cases the partition was fine.

After booting my device and checking the ext2 it only has 111mb. I am looking in the quick system info a2sd storage and in rootexplorer in /system/sd-Note there are no app and data folders here.

I tried for many hours to sort it out on my own.

Thanks

when you partitioned it, if you set FAT32 first at 15.5 gig, then you wouldnt have much left for ext2. Sorry if thats obvious, I cant think of anything else.

I partitioned the fat32 to 14.5gb. The tools calculate the remaining and it was more than the 512 I needed

just checked mine - I have 14.35 fat32, 457 ext2

maybe you have a lot of bad sectors ?

suggest reduce fat32

Tried that as well.

It seems that the device is not working with a2sd as it should.

Is there a way to force it to work even if the rom is suppose to have it built in?

Should I change to a different rom and install a2sd on my own? How?

try the FLB rom, A2SD is automatic and works fine

first question :

have you settled the option a2sd and a2sd+ in the kitchen ??

2 nd point

the easier way to partition a sd card is to use clockworld

go in menu advanced

partition sd card

and choose the size of the ext partition

I believe it said in the rom list on this forum that the modaco custom rom r11 has a2sd+ in it.

I tried partitioning using clockwork as well and still got only about 11mb a2sd storage

if you inspect the card with a partioning tool in windows, what are the sizes of each partition

any unused space ?
