Guest lesa0208 Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Hi i'am new here, i bought zte blade a week ago, and i root my phone, but i have one problem how do I know which rom is used good recovery? I have recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.8 it is cae9935b88359dc96859d39f20d8a821, but all rom have difrent MD5 so i don't know what recovery i need to use, or i need new recovery?
Guest jurrasstoil Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 MD5 is a checksum. It just verifies that a file is still identical to the original. For example: the programer used a program to generate a MD5 checksum for his rom file, uploads it and then you download the file and check the MD5 sum of the file you downloaded. If the file you downloaded has a different MD5 checksum than the one the programer generated, then the file you downloaded was corrupted at some point.
Guest lesa0208 Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 that means it does not matter what clockwork recovery i have on my phone, and i can flash any rom i want? And how can i check MD5 on rom? I know that all these are stupid questions
Guest jurrasstoil Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Mostly yes. You'll just need 3.0.0.5 or newer for the Cyanogen Mod Rom. I use MD5 Checker.
