Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) False Advertising? Their official site states the san fran can take micro sd cards "up to 32 gb" meaning, it IS possible to use such cards: http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phones/san...-orange-in-grey However, I'm sure that in infringes manual they instead read "up to eight gb" of course, it also probably says"correct at time of printing" , but what if we received a particular handset after they changed the site/new handsets to 32gb. Surely, for counties within the eu at least, this is wrong! http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/cons_int/saf...dv/index_en.htm I think that something must be done! even I'd the device can take certain 32gb cards, t the manual that says"correct at time of press" is therefore wrong! Compatible Cards 8gb Kingston, class 4 Sandisk, class 4 PLEASE POST YOUR WORKING SD CARD HERE SO I CAN ADD IT TO THE LIST Edited March 20, 2011 by Mushroom_Lord
Guest Azurren Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) Tbh honest if something can do something that it supposedly can't do that's just a welcome bonus right? Like my new laptop has supposed to have a 320hdd and a ati 4200 card.. But it came with a 500gb hdd and a ati 4250 :D I guess if I had taken it back I'm sure they would have swapped it for me :( If it was the other way around then yes! A manual isn't really advertising. But the site is. We know that the SF can take 32gb cards so I guess the manual is just wrong :S Bet I'm not the only one whos never even opened the manual Edited March 15, 2011 by Azurren
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 I just looked at the manual today. never looked at it otherwise. Orange could at least state which 32gb cards it spotted on their website. Maybe we should drop them an, email asking what 32gb cards they officially support
Guest ronc2000 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 There is nothing wrong in stating that it supports 32GB on their web site while the manual indicates differently. I am sure it supports 32GB card with limitations - certain brand and certain speed only. If you do want to use 32GB card you may have to try different ones. Otherwise for 16GB or lower, I do not think anyone would find any problem.

We need a list of 32GB card compatibility, it's sensless to try different ones at the price they have :D At the end i think 16GB are more than we need.
