Guest muller37 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 noticed a My Giffgff app in market on test, tried it and works great! not sure if you can add credit but gives you balance and goodybag status and expiry, plus access to forum support. anyone else tried it? can we trust apps like these?
Guest Lew247 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 I've not tried it - no need to I have a computer with direct access to the giffgaff forum and its also available via facebook I can also get on the giffgaff forum directly from the phone without using an app. I wouldn't trust it to put credit on - if this was possible. I would never trust anything other than the genuine giffgaff website for that

Guest Skip Tracer Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 The top-up feature for your account in that app is for inputting a voucher number so no problems with security there.
Guest muller37 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 just wondered wether giving login details was a bad move but glad its originated from within giffgaff community. apps like these can be useful shortcuts.
Guest The Sorcerer Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 We all like technology, that's why we come to forums like this, but sometimes I just wonder if it's getting a bit out of hand and we do it "just because we can" rather that it having any direct value. All of us who have a San Francisco can get on the internet with the handset via either wifi or 3G and you can go to the GiffGaff website quite easily. Why would we need an app for it? I just don't understand the need to reinvent the wheel.
Guest muller37 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 I agree and fully understand your point. suppose its just personal preference. its just nice to see an app with some worth rather than half the s**t on the market!!!

With apps it's supposed to be about the 'experience', but if the app adds nothing then then IMO it's a waste.
Guest stellablade Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 It looks pretty good. Worth it for the nicely formatted forum section alone. Nice as there's no Tapatalk support.
Guest That-Guy Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Using the app, its in the early stages but will be good when it has a few more features like viewing Affiliate Stats etc :D Had a few force closes from it but apart from that its all good. The App will be faster once giffgaff releases an API for apps etc :(
