Anybody ?

This is the 1st phone I've had that can't seem to do something so simple. Very disappointing tbh.

I've seen lots of threads about using custom tones and assigning specific tones to specific contacts.

BUT where is there any info about assigning a special tone specifically for delivery reports?

Seems a novel and interesting idea ... (I'm thinking it might need a different SMS App.)

To answer your specific question you cannot have a different tone for the delivery report - its the same tone as the message because it is actually a message - it's just one sent by your network and not another person

Thank you for at least reading the question properly before replying Dougal. :D

Speaking for myself I cannot say I've noticed - I had delivery reports turned off while I was working as a Vodafone engineer - literally hundreds of texts a day - the delivery reports would have drove me crazy

and giffgaff (O2) who I'm with now do not do delivery reports unless you force a report manually

I've only needed to do that once when I sent a text that it was imperative I knew it was delivered

What rom have you got?

As most roms have different settings it will help people to tell you where the settings are

and feel free to post what the exact problem you have is
