Guest mickb1982 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Hi, I am having some problems with the microphone on my HTC Desire. When I make or recieve a phone call sometimes the microphone doesnt work, I can hear fine but the person calling can't hear me. If I bang the phone on the table whilst in a call the microphone works again stright away. The microphone works fine on voice dialer and works fine for a while when the phone has been re-booted its just when its been on standby for a while and someone calls me or I call someone it doesnt work unless banged on the table while in a call. Do you think its a hardware problem or a software problem? I was running Ginger Villian 1.0 but since having problems I'm back on MoDaCo r10, It did work at first when I switched back to r10 but then the next day it didnt but I had installed all my apps by then. Does anyone have any ideas or should I unroot it and send it back for repair? I'm going to try a clean install of the new r11 with no add-ons and no apps and see if that makes any difference but if anyone has any other ideas ill give them a try! Thanks Mick
Guest mickb1982 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 The phone is working again for now, I unrooted it and installed the latest vodafone ruu and deleted the sd-ext partition so its now back to exactly how it was when it came from vodafone and everything seems to be fine. I have only setup the stock applications (Email, Gmail, Facebook, Google Maps etc.) and I will see how things go for a few days.
