How To Make Custom Rom?

Hey everyone, im fairly new to the site but i am very good with phones and computers

but i was just wondering if anyone could show me a tutorial or anything on how to make custom roms because i really want to make one and release it :D

if i get into it i will be making a dev team probably in the future

I'm sort of in the same boat in wanting to make my own, but am just starting out, here is mysuggestion:

1: Go make love to Android SDK. Really get to know how it works with phones.

2: Make a couple test apps. Get the source code of your device if possible. See how they make it work with a phone.

I've noticed a lot of the work is reverse engineering is some aspects. I've learned a ton, but mainly from how companies have created their stock roms for their devices.

I'm also VERY INTERESTED in learning how to make a custom android rom, I've done the first step and built a Athlon 64 3200+ with 2 GB ram and a Geforce 9500 GT and installed Ubuntu 64 bit I'm just waiting for gingerbread 2.4 to come out and to find someone to take me under their wing sort to speak.

1.extract system.img and boot.img from .bin. 2.unpack system.img under linux. 3.create update-script. 4.pack it up.
