Guest pjg_pigeon Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 (edited) Just upgraded Rom Manager and Clockwork mod to 2.5.0.7 on 1.8.1. Tried to get into recovery mode and now I cant.. It just stayed stuck on the dell logo or just goes black.... How can I fix this so I can get to clockwork recovery to reinstall my rom? Is this after the stock recovery screen appears and you select the 2nd option "install from sdcard" (not sure of the exact wording) if so do you get the next screen, dell logo screen with the "triangle with an enclosed exclamation mark", if so, you will need to press the "power" button to see the clockwork menus. Update. I updated my clockwork mod to same version and get the exact same problem. I've installed Rom manager and tried to flash other versions of recovery using the option "All ClockworkMod Recoveries" but all failed. So I downloaded 2.5.0.1 renamed it to one of the options available in Rom manager option 2.5.1.1 . Moved the img file to the same location as 2.5.0.7 /SDCARD/clockworkmod/download/mirror.kanged.net/recoveries Then you can fool Rom manager into flashing a working version Edited March 18, 2011 by pjg_pigeon
Guest Wee Thomas Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Actually guys, it works. I had the same problem. Then I pushed a couple buttons and it moved on to the next screen. So, slight bug, yes, but not working, no.

Sorry, I was thinking of streakmod recovery. On that, you need to push the power button. ClockworkMod is more straightforward. Are you sure you're selecting the menu properly - you hold down the volume Up and Down buttons while pressing power and release when it shows the recovery menu. Select update from sd card by using the volume buttons to scroll and camera to select?
