Squeezeplay-like app?

I have a ZTE Blade with a Froyo 2.2 ROM & have been quite disappointed with the availability of Android apps capable of streaming music. I have Gmote and Plugplayer running on my phone but they are a little bit clunky to use. I also have an O2 Joggler (think tablet-like photoframe) which has been hacked to run Squeezeplay and was wondering if there was anything similar available for the Vega? I also see that some clever person has compiled Ubuntu for the Vega so I guess that would be an option too.
