I badword up! i love this dell streak mainly because the big screen which helps a lot with my stocks trading. My dell streak is not letting me install Via update.pkg. I rooted my dell streak using Z4root which didn't fully work so i used Android Ultimate, think that was the name of the application that rooted my 1.6 Dell Streak from Rogers communications in Canada, Ottawa.

So far i've reset it to factory settings which never completes it always never goes past a BLANK Lite SCREEN, same if i try to update it via Update.pkg. I removed everything off my SD card, put back the Update.pkg and went into recovery mode with 4 options. Clicked the second option to update via update.pkg right after it goes to blank lite screen. I dont get another option to confirm if i want to update, i been reading other people with the same problem get a second window that asks to confirm if they want to update.

Do i need to download a particular update.pkg since im from canada and my phones with rogers communications, thank you very much for any help in advance

It is easy, you just flash fards's recovery_309 from here and then run your pkg image.

I can't update driver Android 1.0, I've tried going into Device manager, looking under the list to manually update from Google. inc or "android Phone" I don't get those options. I know how to go into recovery mode and install via update.pkg. Before that i need to get my fastboot working can anyone tell me how to get the Android 1.0 drivers thanks..

There is no need to update the driver. The version your OS installed should be fine.
