Guest Burnyfully Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) Hello guys, I fully bricked my "MOBII POV". I use this tablet as an Advent Vega and all the "experiments" are succeeded until now. I tried to install the "Big Ideas" rom following the link posted in the post "How Tos, Links to ROMs, Flash Updates, Guides, Misc apk's". All worked fine during the process, but now the Tablet doesn't boot. I tried all the procedures (is not the first rom that i tried), but nothing. The USB doesn't work, and the standard combination of button to make the USB working has no response. My question is: there is another way to restore the original firmware? If not, anybody knows the cost of this operation via Official support? Thank you in Advance for your help. Edited March 20, 2011 by Burnyfully

Not sure if you tried this: Once I thought I had bricked my Vega as well, but I could get it back doing the following: Press power very long, something like 20 or 30 seconds. (on mine backlight went on, but no boot, due to defect ROM) Press power again until backlight is off. Then try to go to (I think its called Debug mode) with the 2sec back+2sec power then release power wth still holding back button, I guess you know this. Then I could install stock ROM to recover. Same as you I tried everything else before, but it seemed my Vega was never really off
Guest simonta Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 You are NOT bricked. Vega cannot be bricked by flashing ROMs. Just take a break and try again. Also try removing the charger and putting it into recovery, then put the charger back in. It will go into recovery, it just takes patience.

I totally agree, I thought I had bricked mine but had to leave the power out for an hour let it drain a bit then I could get it in recovery mode. You sometimes just have to walk away and leave it for a while.

In a friendly way, the fact you are asking the question means that you should not try these ROMs. You need good experience of Android and flashing different parts of the system and you must understand the kernel, boot.img the flashing process and how to swap system images. Until then, you will not have good results with these. You should now reinstall the stock ROM and mcr. Cheers
