The latest version of Super one click (SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse) did work for me! (with rogers 2.2)

Major steps that worked for me:

  1. Get the Dell drivers installed for your computer you will be hooking up to
  2. Put usb debugging on, in the settings
  3. unmount your SD card in the settings
  4. connect up your Dell with your computer using usb
  5. run the super one click software
  6. use rageagainstthecage exploit
  7. then root
The first time I did it, it didn't work, so I tried the same thing again, and it worked. :D

Done it twice in the last two weeks with the second time, it worked the first run without a hitch.

Check out the resource links below for software and detailed instructions (as the above was a quick outline - other things you may need to be aware of, or do depending on you situation and set-up).

xda-developers site is down for maintenance at the moment, but here are the links I believe that will guide you:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...;postcount=2532

here is another link (as I said the site is down at the moment but this one should help too, I think):

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...8514&page=2

This one one is great as it has all kinds of tips and ideas from several different sites:

Good luck chenxi1203!

A quick note to above..... If you don't choose the rageagainstthecage exploit and run the other by accident you MUST reboot your phone before you try the rageagainstthecage exploit again. As well I have read (I did this for my 2.2 Rogers) do a shell root first... then Root.

Hope it helps.....
