900Mhz 3G?

The question is can existing phones such as the ZTE Blade make use of 3G on 900Mhz or will a software update be needed?

Traditionally aren't they expecting GSM on 900/1800mhz and UTMS to be on 2100mhz?

I've done a quick google search and found these specs http://www.gsmarena.com/zte_blade-3391.php its for the "zte blade" but should be the same specs as the orange sanfrancisco

2G Network GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900

3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100

So hopefully should work fine :D

in the discussion someone know a patch to unlock the 850 mhz frequency ?
