Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Hi All, This is no doubt, a noob-ish question, for which I am sorry... but I have had a look, and cant see a definitive answer to this. However, I feel I know where my answer is gonna go.... No!! :( lol We all know Google is our Friend and how it liked to help you, RETAIN all your info, such as Contacts, and all that, which is great... :D I am ok with finding, and editing Contacts in Google Dashboard, on website/PC... (thanks to user who pointed me in that direction) however, where are the other things it retains??? Such as: What Apps I have downloaded/installed? What Wallpaper last used? What WiFi Settings/Accounts? What Bookmarks? What Passwords? Whilst this is all very well, there is some out of date stuff within that backup, and last night I restored a brand new rom, only to have it pull this info down, of which I didnt want some Apps or the horrid wallpaper, which I cant even find on the phone itself...?? Are you able to edit this info on a Google page, much like you can Contacts?? Many thanks, Lister

Many thanks, Lister Good question - I have historic settings and previous App downloads stored in the ether somewhere that I would like to reset and startover. On a similar note, Web accessed Market stores several phones, which are generally several ROM builds, and selecting the correct "phone" is a lottery. That needs to be resettable too...
Guest Azurren Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) Its more than likely everything is stored in a single, compressed and encrypted file inaccessible by any user (For security reasons and to decrease upload / download times over a 2g network) Wifi passwords. I wouldn't want anyone getting into my network :D The market seems to automatically delete older entries after a while if your google account is link to another device. Old apps also get removed from sync list automatically (Although perhaps a little slow) Edited March 20, 2011 by Azurren
