Guest jazz5000 Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Sometimes when i call someone the sounds appers to be "croaky". (Best way to explain it) The sound even exists when you can hear the dial tone. I have tried resetting the phone and it still happens. But the thing is it only happens like once or twice a month, Also happened on my other San Francisco. Both are on T-Mobile. And both are running Japanese Jellyfish roms. Thanks
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Does this happen purely when you are on call? because your signal strength does effect the sounds of the beeping and ringing you hear just before call (not dialing the number itself though)
Guest jazz5000 Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Yes only when calling someone and recieving calls. I think thats the only time you can use the phones ear speaker?
Guest scoobydoo99 Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Yes only when calling someone and recieving calls. I think thats the only time you can use the phones ear speaker? I get this - there's a few folk reported similar issues. If I turn down the volume from max, the 'crackle' goes away. I'm pretty sure the speaker has a fault of some sort. Other thing you can try is, before making a call, try putting your mouth over the speaker and blowing - this seems to force the speaker back in shape, but it doesn't last. I'll put up with it till spare parts become readily available.
