Acer Liquid Bricked

Sorry to ask for help, I've done a lot of googling and try many ways. But it's still bricked.

I try to root the phone by superboot, but i cannot boot the phone after flashing.

at this point, I cannot enter bootloader mode, but I can still enter recover mode

Then I go to flash acer-liquid-malez-reocovery, it is flashed successfully.

However, after reboot, I can never go into recovery mode again.

After The only thing I can do is connect the phone to PC, press volume up + camera + power, after two vibrations, it enters AMSS mode, I try to download the .bin for LCR and try to flash with "Acer download tool", the flashing started good, but it stucked at a point saying "Change mode: change to OS download mode",

and my phone is still brick, now when pressing the power button, it doesn't show up anything.

The current situation is that I cannot go into recovery mode or bootloader mode!

I cant only boot into AMSS mode by pressing volume up + camera + power when connecting the phone to PC by USB,

I think inside my Acer liquid, the boot.img and recovery.img are damaged,

Am I able to restore them in the AMSS( volume up + camera + power) mode? using Acer download tool or other tools?

Can anyone help? I really appreciate, thanks in advance.

Do you have a nandroid backup?

If not, try googling and find something!

If you can't find a nandroid backup, try flashing MIUI from recovery, and then try to restart flashing a .bin with acer tool.

Btw what acer tool version do you use? I've had many problems with acer tool 3.7, try 3.1. I hope you could solve!

When yu complete installation of miui, try to reboot in bootloader. Someone says that acer tool recognize your mobile if it is in bootloader!

you can try to take out the battery connect the phone to the pc and run the update tools first then plug the battery back, the update tools should be recognize the phone and you can flash it back again

Almost all the bricks are due to this sh****ng Superboot, because people flash it thinking it's suitable for all the ROMs/Bins... It should be deleted or at least a Warning should be included in superboot's topic... :S

I tried your suggestion but I can never get pass the "Change mode : change to OS download mode" message when flashing using Acer download tool. The roms I tried are acer official 2.1 rom, and LCF roms

(I tried both Acer download tool 3.1 and 3.7]

Have you tried flashing with acer tools? I think that will help

try flashing with acer download tool and download your rom here http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...act-collection/

I did try flashing one of the roms: 1.100.71.AAP.CSL_A21E_bin. The acer download tools paused while displaying the message "Change mode: change to OS download mode" forever.

Thanks anyway. I'm going to download more roms and try more.

One question pops up on my head, does flashing .bin would also flash the boot.img and recovery.img? If it doesn't, I would try other ways as I think the boot.img and recovery.img inside my Liquid is the wrong version.

Could you send us the log generated by acer download tool while flashing ? they are in LOG_FILES directory.

You can try flashing img files with fastboot. This should solve.

you will find a directory named SDCAAPZ behind your bin file (the file is removed when you close ADT app)

copy fastboot.exe to this directory

open a terminal an go to that directory

reboot your phone on bootloader mode (usb plugged in)

fastboot flash system system.img

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot flash data userdata.img (or maybe fastboot flash userdata userdata.img)

reboot

Thanks to everyone, my acer liquid is now live again!! The acer download tool approach was right, the reason I stuck at the message "Change mode: change to OS mode" because the battery ran out of power(despite I charged it for many hours before I did that). Just now I charge it again, and it's working as expected now.

Really thanks to everyone!
