Internal memory full

Hello,

Noob question I'm sure, but I'm sure someone can answer this quite quiclky.

The internal memory for the Vega is near capacity. I can move some apps to the SD card, but a lot of the others have this option greyed out. So the question is 1) Is there an alternative way to move the apps to the SD card, and 2) what is the best way going forward to avoid this problem again and have apps downloaded apps install to the sd card?

Thanks in advance.

You need link2sd which is included in mcr8 it needs a ext2 partition on the sdcard. Works a treat.

So should I move everything back to the Vega internal memory and then format an ext2 partition on the sd card? Is it best to have a FAT 32 partition and an EXT2? What are the benefits/disadvantages of having the SD card with two partitions.

Any recommendations on the best way to for ext2 from Windows?

Thanks again for the advice.

Backup the SD card on your PC (just copy everything into a folder)

Check the second link it mentions using easeus software to partition the SD card. Once partitioned copy everything back to the fat32 partition

Ext2 for Android (linktosd)

Fat32 for windows

Sorry to sound stupid, but the ext2 system is for android system files and apps, correct? The FAT32 partition would be for stuff like media files, etc? any suggestions on how to split a 16GB card?

Thats right. I've just created a 512mb ext2 partition but depends how much you want to fill the Vega up.

Any other options than Easeus Partition Master? I've installed it, but it won't recognize the memory card.
