Guest stylezuk Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Have searched and am not coming up with a definative answer what i'm looking to do is to wipe all ROM data "not hard-reset" similar to WM's Task29, so all would be left with is recovery not sure if possible as don't know if recovery is able to boot phone with no OS? Thanks in advance for any help. My phones being very bizzare boot loops, this includes when flashing ROMs etc.
Guest Rotmann Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 If you wipe data, it's like a hard reset. task29 is format /system from ClockWork.

Thanks wasen't sure if wipe was full wipe of ROM data "as different than HR and back in the days of WM we would perform a Task29 to clear all" , seems my phone just on the way out as now no power button will get me thru till next week as using widget locker and have also installed off and lock, going back to HTC on next purchase..

What? Is your power button broken? Why do you think HTC is better? Every manufacturer has problems, I have a DHD here, it has it faults too and the SanFran is a very good phone for the money. Even the holy, Saint and Jesus of phones, the iPhone, has problems.

Yes i'm fully aware every device has it's faults as have used smartphones for over 10 years, hasn't just been HTC's but to have a device replaced already and now have hardware issues again since the launch of ZTE-Blade then i'm going back to a well recognized supplier, yes HTC has it's problems but generally not hardware based.. May not even go HTC may go Moto but hay anything of a recognized brand... Edited March 23, 2011 by stylezuk
