Unwanted noise in left earbud

Whenever i put my new earphones in the zte blade to play mp3s i get a noise in the left earbud that i cna only decribe as being 'squiggly', kinda like when you leave a window a bit open on a windy day. It can only be heard in the low volume bits of songs but it is still very annoying. I know it is the blade because i have used the earphones in my computer with exactly the same song and i didnt get it then.

Have any of you had the same problem?

Could it be the file format (they are mp3's)?

I don't know how it works exactly, but it works differently than most of the music player apps, give it a try.
