Guest Groundplayer Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 I am planning to buy the lg, but for those who have had it, is there anything you would say is bad?
Guest simomazzo Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 I am planning to buy the lg, but for those who have had it, is there anything you would say is bad? the battery drains very quickly, one of the worst phones like life
Guest rulleguru Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Hmm that's just not true, at least not for my device. I'm currently non-rooted/unmodified , battery at 21h 50m, 50% used. not too much use on this cycle, but it still lasts a full day with medium to heavy use.
Guest Squide Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 I am planning to buy the lg, but for those who have had it, is there anything you would say is bad? take a closer look to the screen. not every device build with the same quality. if possible, ask the shop to start up a few for comparsion :D backlight leakage is really serious on some device. l
Guest element332 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 (edited) A lot of 2X users is complaining about phone shuting off... especially when connected to a charger..... How about you guys...?? Do you get random shut offs??? Edited March 27, 2011 by element332

Guest theguv Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Only thing I could complain about is the speaker placement. Its impossible to watch videos without headphones. Sound is only coming from the bottom of the device, which is the right side in landscape mode. (Who the hell watches anything with sound in portrait mode?)
Guest Maik_B Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 A lot of 2X users is complaining about phone shuting off... I´m monitoring some forums for a while now. And i´m very interested in this phone. From next thursday on i can get a new phone by contract-renewal. But since i read about screen-light-leaks in the edges and read about a lot of shut down complains i´m thinking about spending some bucks more and get a Galaxy SII which should release in somewhat more than a month. I´m really unsure...
Guest aMpeX Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) One should take into consideration, that the complaints on the forums represent only a fraction of the devices actually sold. It's the same with cars for example, there is a german forum for the VW Golf Mk6 where the thread about faults and defects is several dozens of pages long. Those who do not intend to mod their device or those who are not that tech-savvy as most of the readers here or over at xda most likely won't join those forums, let alone post a simple "mine is alright" in a bugs/defects thread. Devices with heavy screen leaking can be replaced, and the shutdown issues will most likely be resolved in future updates (or custom ROMs). We all are early adopters of this phone after all. So don't let those threads hold you back. I ordered mine last week, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. After all, it has some serious bang-per-buck. Edited March 28, 2011 by aMpeX
Guest dagrim1 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 No problems with backlight leakage, no problems with reboots, no problems at all actually... And sure, you could wait for the SGS2... But noone knows what issues that one might have either.
Guest jpbl1976 Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) A lot of 2X users is complaining about phone shuting off... especially when connected to a charger..... How about you guys...?? Do you get random shut offs??? Oddly, this happens on my Desire Z but not on my 2X. At least not yet. I wonder if it's a temperature-related thing? Maybe as the battery is charging, it gets the battery too warm and some sensor tells the device to shut-off. Some have posited that it could be dirt on the battery contacts; others think it might be Launcherpro crashing. I think there's merit to both but it's difficult to isolate. Guest sebsal Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Mines keeps shutting itself off. It doesn't remember the Apn I set it to either. I'm hoping to find solutions for both. If it keeps shutting down it's going back It's a fantastic phone so I'm hoping I can get fixes for these bugs
