I'd though i'd set off a thread regarding apps that people would find useful for their Blade's but which are not well known.

Obviously the likes of Titanium Back Up, Power Amp, Astro etc are all well known apps and have been discuseed extensively on this forum - i'd like us to share some suggestions for apps that perhaps you think that noone else uses but are gems in their own right.

I'll start the ball rolling then :D

SwipePad - http://www.appbrain.com/app/swipepad-beta/...wipepad.android

A simple app which acts as a 'mini launcher' if you will from inside other apps.

Your able to assign what app you'd like where you'd like it once the SwipePad is enabled thus giving you real quick shortcuts from anywhere.

It's nice not going back to the home screen just to launch another app if you can do it whenever you want.

Bit fiddly to open sometimes but i'm impressed :(

AndFTP - http://www.appbrain.com/app/andftp/lysesoft.andftp - ftp server for files

A good idea, but isn't it similar to the "recommend an app" thread that Frankish started? :D

But if you still want to do this then PLEASE - keep your first post updated (put all the apps people respond with on there in a list) this saves people having to trawl through your thread.

Okay.

Where's My Droid. Text your phone a preset word and you can set it to ring for as long as you want, as loud as you want (and vibrate, of course :( ) - it doesnt even run in the background :( (and yes, it works)

GPS Status & Toolbox - http://www.appbrain.com/app/gps-status-too...psim.gpsstatus2

I use the GPS feature of the phone every day to track my runs, after approx 20-40 days of use, the GPS will start giving crazy results, using the "reset" feature and the calibration in this app, sets my GPS back to normal again. My friends also does this and using this app fixes his.

AndFTP - http://www.appbrain.com/app/andftp/lysesoft.andftp

Means i no longer have to plug my phone in to get files, i can just dump them on my ftp server and get them from there

Timeriffic - http://www.appbrain.com/app/timeriffic/com.alfray.timeriffic

Usefull for setting notifications (email/sms) to 0% volume after a certain time, in my case it automatically sets the volume to 0% at 23:30 and back to 100% at 08:00 in the morning. Means i no longer have to turn off my phone or turn off notifications during the night.

Chaos - http://www.appbrain.com/app/chaos-the-batt...zards/chaos.app

One of the greatest games ever, now on android :D
