Hello,

I got dust below my display and a few pixel errors. The dust really annoys me.

Bought the Blade used and the pre-owner sent me the voucher as a scan (listing the Blade with IMEI etc.).

It is bought in the UK (Orange), but I live in Germany.

Is this covered by warranty? The voucher is dated by 24-12-2010. Found this letter, which I attached, somewhere on the internet (maybe from here).

Where do I have to send the Blade + letter to? Maybe someone already did this and can tell me the address for this case:)

Some other people had this too, search for dust under screen. The only solution is to go to the UK with the receipt or send it to a relative/friend in the UK with the receipt. Or take it apart yourself and clean it (there are some guides floating around here). Or ignore it.

Just cleaned my display... finally no dust at all anymore :D

Warranty is gone now anyways.

The dust on mine is really starting to annoy me now. It's more noticeable now that we actually have some sun outside. How hard is it to do? I've seen the pictures of the phone disassembled. Is it just a case of removing the screws on the back, popping it out & giving it a clean? Thanks.

It was easy. Just remove the backcover, the battery and simcard. After that you loosen the screws - on the top right is one hidden one (white dot over the screw, for warranty I guess). Then you can push the buttons on the front to reach the display.

Advice:

- Don't touch the screen with your fingers (causing fingerprints)! I used a microfiber cloth to clean the display without preassure. Clean the display AND the frontcover.

- Get a small screwdriver or you will destroy the screws

- Test the display before putting all screws and stuff together. I had to open it three times to get every pixel free, but the dust is gone at first try.

I just enjoy looking at my display again. Now the sun can come :D
