Hello world,

First of all thanks to android76 for his boot.img, to vache which created this ROM for Liquid A1 and to many other because without their work this ROM were not possible.

So, here we have a Desire Rom with Sense, which work on Liquid E (and on Liquid A1, thanks Dario93).

Known bugs:

Camcorder won't work

After quit Camera app phone will reboot (only with stock app, can solve using another camera app)

No Bluetooth

Wi-Fi tethering won't work (but WiFI Tether seems to, thanks Trout)

Auto-brightness seems to struggle a bit

In some devices you'll not able to boot and you'll get into fastboot mode. Fix in second page seems to break SD support. Working for a safer fix.

Probably will be other bugs, but they aren't known yet.

You know the disclaimer: do all ay your own risk, i'm not responsible.

Here's the download link (v0.2a): http://www.multiupload.com/FYCZHIJ3PM

Flash it with no sign check from Malez Recovery

I've not many time to maintain this rom so, dev, fell free to edit it and share.

That's all, folks!

Does this work on A1 or is it E only?

Not sure if this will work both on A1. You can test, it should work. Anyway, remember that for Liquid A1 there are already many other ROM, like AuraTXSense and Vache's port (you'll find them at page 2).

If you want to try, you're welcome! Just flash it with no sign check.

Did you flashed rom with no sign check?

Are you sure the package you downloaded wasn't corrupted?

Oh, and on which device you're trying to install this rom? It's tested only on Liquid E, even if some voice says that works even on A1.

is based on 4.008.08 bin. I don't think the problem is caused by VF Rom, unless is a different version, like i suspect. If my remembrance are correct, Acer released not many time ago a rom update with VF brand.

I am going to think that was an error when multiupload uploaded packages to other sources. can you say from where file hosting site you downloaded this rom?

First time, from rapidshare

Second, from megaupload

Try to download it directly from Multiupload. If still don't work, it means that we need to check boot.img into the rom.

EDIT

If still don't work try to flash this updated kernel over the rom let me know if it works (didn't tested yet, do a nandroid backup first and be careful): http://www.multiupload.com/CN782B4KLZ

Tried the direct download, still not working. I'll try and flash this one and see.

Good work boy

So it worked just fine!

Here is what I've noticed so far:

-Network Errors, with 3G or WiFi, can't launch browser or Market. Toggling does not resolve. Reboot will, but it seems in and out.

-Menus / UI lag quite a bit

-No OC

-Bluetooth (obviously)

-auto-brightness seems to struggle a bit, I find it will dim / brighten back and forth occasionally really fast. (Thank god I'm not epileptic.)

-all applications crash upon first installing. A reboot is required and then they work fine, on or off SD.

-Liquid Settings 1.0.9 works well with this rom.

-WiFi tether working great so far (Edit: started crashing, now not working at all.)

-Using the camera / camcorder causes the phone to reboot.

Smartbench 2010 -

P - 579

G - 699

Smartbench 2011 -

P - 872

G - 602

Quadrant Advanced -

CPU - 2041

Mem - 968

I/O - 557

2D - 226

3D - 384

Good work overall though. A nice first release outside a couple of hiccups. Works pretty well.

PS: Is there also any chance of moving this up to 2.3? :D I loves teh Gingerbreads.

EDIT:

-Power seems to drain normally a little quick when actually using it. Standby power seems normal.

Thanks for the list Trout.

Good job to all the devs who are working on this (or worked on this).

I love Sense (easily the best I have ever used).

Going to wait until some of those issues are ironed out.
