newbies about Ext3 at installation steps~

I have updated my blade to r12 before.

but i always remain 20MB at internal memory.

It is very tough to use~~~

My 8G SD Card is not partition and formatted as ext3 yet~><~

i am not sure when format my sd card to ext3~~

The following installation step is correct?

1) format and partion sdcard to ext3 and fat32 at pc side

2) copy back the rom update.zip from pc into sdcard

3) insert the sdcard to my blade

4) reboot into recovery clockwork

5) wipe data, wipe cache and partition

6) install the rom update.zip from sdcard

7) reboot, then work?

Also can i just partition my sd card to ext3 without installation?

The FIRST partition must be PRIMARY FAT32, the SENCOND PRIMARY EXT. You can do format the card without installing the ROM. Don't know about MCR, I think only the kitchen versions allow you to use a2sd, FLB Froyo and SS have this enabled.

P.S.: Use wbaw's partition mod, it's brilliant, it will give you 300+MB data partition.

if you are using clockwork recovery then you can get this to partition your card for you. It's in the menu's somewhere. just backup your card to your pc then partition using clockwork, then mount usb using clockwork and copy your backup back to the card.
