New Phone - Galaxy S or HTC Desire?

As title says im looking to buy a new phone for work.

Having the Orange San Francisco I definitely want to stick with an android phone, The O-SF was a great phone just too many little problems with it, the main one being the incredibly short battery life, and constant breaking.

I had 4 phones in total off Orange, along with replacement battery, replacement charger, the 4th one actually worked fine but id already lost my patience with it being off more than on, and my work was suffering because of it.

So Im looking at either the Samsung Galaxy S or HTC Desire (Phone Only or PAYG so I can use my Orange sim in it)

Ive read loads of reviews and both seem genuinely good phones yet I cant see any known difference between the 2, Sense being better on HTC but the screen being better on GalaxyS.

Which is the better phone? Hopefully you guys can sway me one way or the other.

Any info at all would be great
