Hi all,

My "gallery" application started showing sets of photos which I believe are not on my SF - they are on my home network, but not on my SF. On close inspection they seem to be very low-res versions of the photos and they seem to have the Picassa logo at the lower left corner.

I tried to delete them, but I had no delete option in Gallery.

I looked for them on the SF (rooted and used root explorer to search for keywords) but did not find anything.

I 'cleared application data', but that didn't help.

Then I stupidly deleted the Gallery file from the Delvik Cache folder (I think) - and now Gallery does not work - I get the 'force close' dialog.

1. How can I fix the Gallery app? Is there an easy way?

2. (assuming I can fix the Gallery app!) where do these pictures come from? How can I delete them?

Many thanks for any assistance,

seg

Have you tried rebooting your phone? AFAIK, and as I understand it. When you reboot the phone, the Delvik Cache is rebuilt, maybe that will get you galery app working again - Maybe!!

The gallery app is pretty slow, I suggest you get Quickpic from the market instead as its much faster.
