Guest 2smart4class Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 when my phone is off and someone sends me an sms, later when i switch my phone, the time the txt was received is the current time the phone is on. ideally i would like it to display actual time it was received from the sender like it does on o2. example of my problem: I go to bed at night at 22:00 and switch off phone, someone sends me an sms at 01:00 and when i turn my phone on at 08:00, the sms program shows the sms recieved as at 08:00. is it network issue or a phone issue, im on t-mobile if that helps. any suggestions? thanks
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 I haven't had this issue running CM7 using the Orange network. I can't say I'm sure how this is all linked up though, but I *think* its down to network provider. *prepares to be crushed*

Guest Azurren Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 This is a android wide "feature" Cyanogen mod 7 has options to override this :D
Guest wakaru Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Yes, it is a very well known android bug that Google does not seem to care fixing. There are a couple of free APPS that will do the job. Search for "SMS timestamp" in the market and you'll see them The one I use is called "SMS time fix".
